Having lived and worked in California all of my adult life, I cannot help but be impressed and influenced by the breathtaking beauty and atmosphere that is found here. However, California is not all palm trees and sunshine. Inspired by black and white photos from the fifties, my latest, large format paintings of beach, poolside and travel portraits express a bit of California glamour, they also carry hints of nostalgia and contemplation.
